For many years I have wanted to wear clothing that was festive and colorful and that had a logo that captured the New Orleans lifestyle. After speaking with my father about several ideas, he suggested a second-line dancer. So I developed two second-line dancers—a man and a woman. To me, a second-line dancer symbolizes celebration and a gathering of family and friends. Our third logo--“FETE NOLA”--followed. FETE--noun, a festival, elaborate party--FETE--VERB, to celebrate or honor with a festival, a feast, or an elaborate party. It epitomizes what we as New Orleanians hold dear: our great city, southern traditions and our family and friends. We always have a reason to celebrate, whether it be a holiday, an outdoor festival, a crawfish or shrimp boil or a spontaneous gathering. FETE NOLA is for everyone, anywhere; wherever and whenever people have family and friends that get together to celebrate life. There is nothing more important than the woman or man that we love most, holding them dear in our hearts, with whom we want to celebrate life.
